Aerial Photography and Transportation  

Midwest Accident Reconstruction Services, L.C. has access to several Cessna aircraft with Global Positioning Avionics to allow us to fly to specific locations if we are provided with Global Positioning Coordinates.

The use of aerial photography compliments scale diagramming in that it allows observers to not only view the diagram but also see evidence and other permanent structures in both photographic and scale dimensions. We have found that this dramatically increases understanding of what actually occurs with regards to causative factors in a collision.

The use of the aircraft also allows us to respond to collision scenes, weather permitting, in small airports close to the crash site without the time constraints of commercial flight or extended driving time. In most cases the use of the aircraft is more economical than purchasing commercial airfare or driving. However, what drives the decision is the necessity of arriving at a scene as rapidly as possible especially if an incident has just occurred.
