The Leica BLK 360 laser scanner is a valuable component to our lineup of data collection tools.  While small and compact for convenience and efficiency, it is an incredibly effective measuring instrument. With the BLK 360 scans, we can bring collision vehicles and scenes to life through very dense, realistic, and accurate 3-D models. The point cloud data is extremely useful for taking detailed measurements and seeing the vehicle from various angles to determine damage profiles and directions of force. The data can also be used for collision animations. The 3-D point cloud offers an interactive, tangible, demonstrable point cloud that offers clarity and valuable insight for reconstructing collisions.
